“I met Shanoo, the casting director for Yash Raj Films, who told me my eyes are arrogant. I told her I wasn’t arrogant but shy. She said stay dedicated, lose some more weight and look sharp because the Chopras want to launch new boys. She asked me if I would audition. My audition was bang on. When Aditya Chopra called me, it sunk in that I’m going to become an actor. That was the first time I entered Yash Raj Studio from the corporate side. Adi said you’re not the best looking guy but that won’t matter. That was his way of saying stop bothering with your looks. It removed all notions from my head that I was suave and a stunner like Imran Khan and Hrithik Roshan. At this point I am pretty sure Aditya Chopra says that to every actor that he launches from YRF. Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and turns out he said the “not the best looking…” part to Arjun Kapoor too. I used to think he was just blind now I am just out of words to really praise him. Oh Aditya Chopra nice tactic, you want these actors to focus on the acting & their talent instead of their looks. No wonder they are getting all these meaty roles in the movies.

So I went on the sets of Kal Ho Naa Ho, worked with dad (Boney Kapoor) a bit and joined Nikhil Advani as an assistant director duringSalaam-e-Ishq. Then I met Salman Bhai. He took me aside one day and said, “I think you should become an actor. Give it your best short. Else you will wake up as a 35-year-old and might regret (not trying your luck). I will help you, come to the gym. You might not lose all the 50 kilos. When he said ‘we’ are going to lose weight, it gave me confidence that he is going to take me through this journey. When Salman Khan says he will guide you, what else do you want? The weight loss was a three-year process. I’d show up at his house at seven in the morning and would be with him till midnight. This year have been such a great year for Bollywood Debuts. All four of these hunks had one of the best debut. It’s hard to tell who will win. However, truly talent wise i feel like Ayushmann Khurrana is so underrated as of now. People specially teenage girls are voting for Sid and Varun because of their looks. Arjun Kapoor seems to be doing okay but the one that’s really been underestimated here is Ayushmann Khurrana. This lad has so much potential and talent; I really hope he wins at least one award for his debut because he truly deserves it. For some reason i feel like this year award shows are not going to be so biased and hand the award to just sid or just varun. I am excited to know who will take the Filmfare for best debut actually. Guess we will all have to just wait and watch.

I can’t wait to watch this movie May 11th you need to hurry up already. This is going to be like Band Baaja Baarat both actors are going to be so great acting and performance wise. With people talking so much about this movie i have a feeling this is going to be one heck of an awesome movie. Can’t wait and the songs definitely is the BOMB they’re really really good well of course it’s Amit Trivedi after all. Parineeti Chopra kind of reminds me of Anushka Sharma kind of bubbly and full of talent. I like arjun kapoor no offence to his fans but i don’t like his smile. A lot of people are like “I love his smile” and i am just like well…. I wish he would like shave his beard because my god he is one good looking lad without his beard. But yeah ANYWAYS, I just can’t wait for this movie.
